That means RM 1 run for 6km only or 1km about 16 cent loh....
RM70 = 37.83l for 420km whick make up ur fuel consumption of about 11.1 km/l

My City i-DSI 07 model average fuel consumption is about 14.3 km/l or 12.9 cent per km....

Based on my opinion, you can get Fuel saver kit such as Voltage stabilizer , Grounding kit , Air Compressor and Magnetic Fuel Saver to improve your FC a bit.

Beside that , you can do house keeping on your car like checking tyre pressure , service before the given mileage, clean throttle body, reset the ecu, reflash ecu , refill you tank during cold day (night/morning). Its simple.

how much is Magnetic fuel saver?

Do u know how to clean throttle body, reset ecu, and reflash it? how much?

where is ur shop located?

Dear kellywong855,
Vios fuel consumption (fc) on RON95 is around 10km/l to 12.5km/l depending on individual driving technique/style. My Vios ('03 model) also getting around that figure with careful driving and I've also tried and spent thousands of Ringgits on almost all those so called "fuel saver products"! I GUARANTY you the fuel saving you get in return is JUST NOT WORTH the amount spent. Also please note some of those products are scam! Please do search the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) site to see for yourself; here is one about the magnetic fuel saver: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2006/08/savegas.shtm Here is another sites worth reading: http://aardvark.co.nz/fuelsaverscams.shtml
Food for thoughts: If it works don't you think the car manufacturer already install it?

However, the following are some of the thing you can do to ease the fc of your Vios and won't cost you anything:
1) Driving habit- if you have heavy foot, learn to go easy on the throttle (be a light foot! :D )
2) Make sure all the tryes are correctly inflated (hint: check the correct pressure in the early morning when it is still cold and un-driven)
3) Do you load your car with body-kit (skirts/spoiler/defuser/etc...), bigger wheels/tyres and others un-necessary weight? if yes then time to unload it. A lighter car is more fuel efficient than a heavy one. Sorry to say here that you can't have both, if you want better fc then all those fancy things have to go. I even take out the full size spare wheel and replace it with the smaller/lighter Japanese standard spare wheel. Just imaging this, it cause the F-1 car approximately 0.3sec for every 10kg of weight!
4) Do you like to stay in the car with engine and air-cond running while waiting for people (eg: waiting for children at school) if you do then you know what is burning your fuel!
5) Try experimenting with RON97 fuel, some cars even within the same model get better km per Ringgit (not litre!) on RON97. My neighbor's '04 Vios is such case but for my own Vios, I get better km per Ringgit on RON95.
6) (... anyone else have suggestion please do share...)

My suggestion : Sell off ur Vios and buy City i-DSI or VTEC ( 04- 08/09 model ) to enjoy better fc...he.he..he... Heard from s/body that the new i-VTEC City ( 5 speed auto ) has a poorer fc @ 12 km/l compared to older model which has 7 speed cvt gearbox ... i-DSI fc @ 14-15km/l & VTEC fc @13 km/l ....

when going downhills, shift into neutral and let it roll.
dont brake so often.
when u knw its about to stop like few hundred meters in front of u, shift into N and let it roll.
when going uphill, keep ur foot light!!!
dont gas it. u burn more fuel.

That's a very very dangerous thing to do.. Better leave it in D and don't press your pedal.. Using N will increase your braking time! because there's no engine pull on the wheels..
