CAT LOVER...YOUR ADVISE NEEDED

Dear MC, I love cats very much but when I moved to Miri a year ago, I have to leave all my cats behind to my neighbour. Since then, I dont intend to have cat at my home anymore becoz it was too painful to part with them again.

My problem is now that my present neighbour have few cats in the house, it was fun to see them playing with their cats. However since the past two weeks when I came back from Hari Raya Holidays, all the cats were locked in the cage behind their house. The cats seem healthy and well fed. But, There is one particular cat that sound distress and sad, keep meowing(crying) all the while even at mid night. I think this cat just cannot accept being caged because it has never been caged before.

Everytime I heard the cat meowing, I feel very hurt, I wish I can tell the owner to let the cat free, but they may have their own reason for putting them in the cage. I know they love them too.

MC, what is your advise in this issue. TQ

It sounds like the owner does not want the cats to mix with any local diseased cats that we so commonly see on the streets.

cat should roam freely in d house but make sure they dun berak n scratch anywhere..
i let my cats sleep inside the house but sometime they go lepak until late nite.
so sleep outside lorr....

hmm... i tot cats should be let out wondering around freely..
I seldom or NEVER seen anyone locking their cats in a cage.. If dog ok it very normal.
But why lock their cats? They dont do any harm to the public...

this is like keeping chickens at the backyard. unless the owner wants to eat the cats.

Does it sound like a baby crying? Female cats yelling at night sounding like so are quite normal. Not all do that, but some do, and some continue for life while others just 'expire' after some time.

Cats locked up in cages are not uncommon too, as long as they are free to roam at other times.

well..I cant say much. At least I have you all to talk to, to express my feeling. I m also sleepless nite. Now I still can hear the cat crying. I hope angel will come and comfort the poor cat.

I have been all over the world and the place with the most ugly and diseased cats is Miri, Malaysia.
I have never seen so many strays, do people even car for their cats here?......How many of you have neutered or spayed your cat?.....How many have vaccinated them?...
