Nasi Lalapan

Postby jazkx » Tue Mar 27, 2007 11:17 am

Nasi Lalapan is an Indonesian Dish, and it is very popular among the Miri Malay community.

I have tried this dish many times and deply in love with it. It has Sambal that is made of Belacan, Chilli pepper, and Tomatoes, thus it is extremely spicy. It comes along with vegetables, and fish/chicken/beef.

It is worth giving a try. The cafe is call MUARA CAFE here at Waterfront, it is just right next to Petra Resources' office.

Cheers!

A lot of local people said that Surabaya is using 'special ingredients' in their cooking. Can anybody clarify?

i heard that they put 'pelaris' inside their cooking. they use 'underwear' as pelaris. i think that's why ppl keep going there although the place is dirty and the service is bad.

it's only word of mouth.

but i wont be surprise if it really true. the shop is dirty, not to mention the workers look unpleasant. why people would want to backstab a dirty place, might as well backstab a well reputable and good image shops like idaman, or aseanika, or maybe seahorse bistro, right?

enuff of freaky stories

but i have another one to share... but dun want to go offtopic.
