yes.. agree with you . 5 years ago, my uncle bought a house around 140k but now his neighbour selling at 295k .. oh god.. only 5 years pass.. 100% profit?~!

i bet ur expenses naik more faster then ur salary... with this continue, only those rich can buy house whereas we the newer generation will never able to buy our own house... forever rent a house from those rich ppl when we eventually helping them to pay their loan or just stay with family...

what we need is a caring govt.

the big question here is BN a caring govt? will it act fast to curb speculation in housing prices by coming up with mechanism to put a check on speculation?

example of curb on speculation is the limit of 1 owner 1 house only, setting up of housing building societies to provide loan for say houses costing less than RM300k at cheaper rate compared to commercial banks, curb on buying selling of houses by imposing a high property gain tax on houses sold within 10 years of ownership, allowing foreign builders in to compete against local builders and govt imposing restriction on commercial banks not to provide loans to house owners already having 2 houses and increase in taxation on profits derived from house rentals.

there are lots of ways, although some may deemed unpopular, for govt to take actions to cool down property prices and brings it down to acceptable levels for most average income earners.

to deserve our vote the govt needs to ask itself what it has done and whether it has the will power in bringing down cost of housing prices. unless we see actions, the unlimited minyak coming from their mouth will not sway us otherwise.

Shops are over develop in miri. Develop here and there but the road still remains the same. So end up traffic jam here and there. U can still find out that some main roads in miri still in SINGLE LANE. If they amend the road pun alang alang and sikit sikit. Destruct then construct again. Poor rakyat.

It's tough.... Asian home prices in general is rising fast, in contrast with Europe and North America whose prices is plummeting due to crisis.

But it's not necessary to always go for new home. I recently bought 2 house properties in Cali, one I obtained from foreclosure (property seized by bank) and another from bankruptcy listing (property seized by court following the bankruptcy of the owner) Took the loan and it's total US$1,045/mth for both. So if you consider RM12K/mth, can buy 7 properties

they are cheap because they are seized, banks and courts want to get rid of them as soon as possible.

yes..that's true..house price keep on increase every year but our salary never increase...so gov.should think how to help rakyat to afford to buy the house.
