Means better business oppurtunity.

Then more ppl from all over S'wak come to Miri looking for Job.

And you only think about people in South Miri? =.="

They think about the whole S'wak globally...
But yeah, so sad... the money will never optimize to develop S'wak globally. T_T

Young professionals from other part of East Msia (or even West Msia) will then move to Miri, in search of a better quality of life. They bring along $$ so buying power will increase. This is an inevitable phase of urbanization.

Can i know where is the supply of jobs??? Even without these 7 malls, we can see that the retails are already over supply accept festivals which is only 20-30days in a year and in 335 - 345days, it is under consume so i don really see how 7 malls in miri is a good idea. Do u think that ever weekend ppl will drive for KK to Miri??? How strong is the buying power in lawas, limbang??

Most big cities is growing by this way.

1. The construction of these building need a lot of workers. These workers have their needs such as food, etc. How to get food? Buy, mean money. Mean business.
2. After the building is finished, people from other town will see the potential, hey Miri is Gate Way for touring in Sarawak, remember? Beside how Miri get Bandaraya status? Resort City. All of this mean economic growth.

People will start moving in, along positive and negative effects to origin Miri people.

I'm glad if the above plan is true.

Do u know KK 1Borneo? so far is the largest mall in Borneo island, the dimension similar to Mid Valley Megamall in KL, their got the largest mall already then what is the point they should come to miri just for shopping? even now the brunei people dont want to shops in Miri, they prefer KK already.

I dont think miri's mall can attract tourist from other place of sarawak, even the so called megamall of bintang looks lame, the tenant not so high class, the design of the building is much much worse than the spring in Kch.

Miri senadin hypermall? the artist impression is took from a mall call Ayala Center in Philippines, the developer is stealing the pic from somewhere else, like that also can...speechless.

Miri is a geteway for touring to sarawak? how many direct flight does miri have? MYY-SIN anymore? think before saying things...

Miri get bandaraya status is just a joke, do u really think Miri is fit the requirement for archive the city status? the answer is no, even miri dont have that much population to become a city.
