Dear forumers, as per title, what would be the best engine upgrade for a 1.3 iswara ? An engine which can be available in miri? Thanks...

An upgrade must be based on the criteria, whether it is for powerful daily ride or lutong airport weapon. What is your aim? :)

A slight powerful daily ride cos recently i put it new rims on it..feel underpowered. Prefer an engine which doesn't require existing mounting to be modified. Any idea what is the cost for engine transplant?

Whats d cc ? 1.3 ? 1.5 ? If 1.3, u can upgrade ur piston (change to 1.5 piston), should add u 30% power but engine increase hear fast (so change also ur radiator) , then change ur stock cam pulley to lightweight adjustable, crank pulley to lightweight also. Then if ur still using carburetor, change to EFI. but if want more power more fuel, change to solex / weber carb loo.. U can also change ur stock clutch to racing clutch around rm800+ depends on brand. confirm pick up power ! change ur extractor @ manifold to 4 2 1 2" or 2.5" galvanized pipe straight to exzos (direct piping or u can put a silincer a.k.a BOOM in between. Now, if u do all these to ur car, it might upgraded to 50% more then b4. Gd luck !! :D

mivec is 4g92, 4g91 is 1.5l dohc. but 4g91 is enough oredi, a mc.net member here by nickname of aLom has an iswara with 4g91 heart in it. u may want to ask him more about his ride. :)

but of course, if you have all the source you can afford - go for either 4g92 mivec or alang-alang 4g93 1.8 dohc engine. your iswara can "fly" oredi after that.

4g92 actually got 2 versions, one being the 1.6 sohc and the latter being 1.6 dohc mivec. of course can fit iswara, have to do some minor modification to the engine mountings though. :)

do a full overhaul at a reputable mechanic, replace all worn parts..service the gearbox, masuk 4-1 header, masuk matspeedh fastroad camshaft with adjustable campulley, masuk webber dcoe 45mm,change to MSD blaster coil, use MSD 6AL coil amplifier, use lightweight flywheel, use Works clutch, use 15 inch Japanese sports rim (TE37,ADVAN RG,) or for some oldschool flair look up at BBS of anykind...put some good rubber (TOYO T1R,Advan Neova AD08,Potenza RE002),then get a twinopot caliper from the Evo 3...put some good brakepads before settling for a good suspension..there's many in the market but get a roadworthy one.for some convenience service ur aircond sui sui to ensure the tempreature is on par with north pole and get some comfy bucket seats from the potong shop..comfy bucket seats were of the Subaru WRX STI earlier model,or FTO bucket seats.that is much better and magazine feature worthy... :D

Hello.. Mine is 4g92 sohc and convert to dohc using 4g93 head. 1.6 is max u can go with an iswara chassis if u want to get it endorsed. minor mods to two of the mountings. the gearbox side and the crossmember. but a few regulations when u upgrade ur engine to a bigger cc. one of it full brake system upgrade.. including rear disc.. mine no rear disc.. got mine endorsed through a runner.

the only engine u can put in without modifying the existing mounting is 4g63 VR4 engine. 2.0 turbocharged engine and there is no way u can get it endorsed unless u kopi o..
