Kancil Standard engine tuning..

Guys,
Need help.I want to tune up my engine cause i believe that it consump petrol more than it suppose too be.Full tank pun dapat jalan less that 200km.i think its too much.Do u guy know where to tune it up?any recomended workshop in Miri?Thanks.

hmmm....how many litre is your full tank?......my average full tank is 25-27 litre and can go up to 300-330km on average speed of 80-100 kmph(urban driving only).....oh ya im using L200s engine.....have your carburattor service, readjust your ignition timing, (around 5-6 degree TDC), replace your spark plug, reset your valve clearance,....BTW....did u mod ur engine eg: high cam, port and polish, cylinder head skimming, "messing" with the carburattor, complete exhaust system make over,?.....if yes, the problem might start with those mod u did....

EF got the right move, to further add, check your sensors and wiring as well as sometimes, aged electronic can send incorrect information thus making car inefficient., I think you need to do a diagnostic in perodua after you findle around with the hardware stuff = ) ....

i think u can go HRH Perodua Service, last time my car service at there is very good... Or u wanna check wat problem on ur car,juz play a little bit service changes let them help u check it out wat problem its...

I didnt do that kinda thing since i buy..monor service,tukar minyak hitam,oil filter,spark plug..something like that la..mine 660 standard,didnt mod anything,everything still ori..even yours one turbo pun still can jalan further than mine.if want to service carburator where?adjusting the ignition timing and so on..you know which workshop that can give veryy good service and worth for money to do all that?recomend me..thanks.

correct ignition timing should be 8 degree +- 2 degree...
660cc kancil are weak as you need to open your throttle more than 850cc kancil to achieve certain speed...
therefore, it would be much more fuel consumption than 850cc kancil...

you can go to workshop behind Tiong Hee Accesories at Krokop (after Miri city food court bulatan) there. it's a small workshop behind there only the tauke and one worker. I rate their workmanship is superb. I'm one of their regular customer since i bough my first car in 2003.

My kancil used to be consume much fuel before, but now one full tank can run till 300-320KM (depends on how frequent i use aircond, i drive ). For the cost also very reasonable.

Pour in a bottle of Carb & Injector treatment(liquid type) which you can buy from supermarket to your fuel tank and you'll see some improvement after the 1st tank finished. After that, you may ask mechanic to adjust your carburetor to reduce the fuel consumption till the minimal, then adjust the starter to increase back the timing. You shall see great improvement then. I did that to my 850cc kancil too, now average mileage is ard 380km.

380km only for a full tank? That still consume a lot. I'm using kelisa 850 and one full tank can go for 600km. Full tank is about 30 liters @ 20km per liter.

wow , r u sure about that?....cuz my fren's kelisa last time can only reach 450km at best....and it is urban driving, meaning to say is like involve stop and go, long idling and traffic jam....and he drive like turtle la (60-80km)....for your case, r u using hybrid engine?

Original Kelisa 850cc c/w black bumper. Yeah, urban driving from Senadin to work at town everyday. Before petrol hike I pump RM60 for full tank. When fuel hike to RM2.70/litre, I need to pump RM85 for full tank. Now it's about RM70 for full tank. I pump twice a month and every tank run 600km. Maybe your friend's kelisa is 1000cc and automatic.

Kancil tank only 20ltrs lar...full tank only RM45 or less (Petrol price at RM2.15)
